SUMMARY:Classic Car and Bike Day
DESCRIPTION:Roll back the years and join us for a friendly classic car and bike show. See fabulous elderly vehicles including our 1907 Holsman\, 1962 AEC Burwell & District coach and 3 Austin 7s\,  plus visiting vehicles including : 1965 Ford Mustang\, 1987 Citroen 2CV\, 1950s Citroen Traction. \nMore vehicles being confirmed daily. The ones listed are just a few of those that have been confirmed so far. There will be around 40-50 cars plus a selection of motorbikes. \nIf you would like to bring your own classic car or bike (the older or more unusual the better) please contact us to apply for a space. One of the Trustees will then send you a short form to fill in and return. Small vintage tractors and vans are also welcome. We only have a limited amount of space but we will do our best to get as many vehicles in as is practical. \nPlease do not bring your classic car unless you have had confirmation from us. Those who have returned their forms and have had confirmation will be contacted by Saturday 15th August with instructions for getting on site on Sunday.   \n\nWhole museum open as normal.\nWindmill running (subject to sufficient wind and available\, trained\, volunteers).\nSpinning demonstrations (tbc)\nEnjoy refreshments from our tearoom.\nLocally brewed real ales from Burwell Brewery\, plus other alcoholic drinks available from our licensed bar.\n\nMuseum admission applies. (Driver and passengers of each classic car at this event will have free admission and free refreshments) \nBuy your admission in advance or at the museum on the day. \n   \nDogs are welcome on a lead. No dogs allowed inside our tea room or windmill\, except for assistance dogs. Water is available from the outside tap on our toilet block and outside the tea room\, but please bring your own bowl. (This water is from the mains so it’s suitable for thirsty humans too!) \nLocation map on the Find Us page which also gives directions to get to the museum. A map of the museum site is available to download from the Explore page. \nParking : \n\n\n\nGardiner Memorial Hall car park\, just off the High Street near the 5 Bells pub. It will be signed as “Burwell Museum Open – Car Park” during opening hours. What3Words location of carpark entrance ///intestine.dictation.goat Short walk from rear left of the car park to the museum.\nAdditional parking for this event at Burwell Surgery\, Newmarket Road (What3Words ///filer.viewer.spiking). Pedestrian route to and from the surgery carpark will be via Newmarket Road>High Street>Mill Lane.  \nMill Close is for disabled badge holders and residents of the close.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCar Parking \n\n\n\nCarpark locations.
