Accessibility

We have tried to build a site that is accessible and usable for all. The site is still evolving so if you have feedback please contact us as we would be delighted to hear from you.

We have aimed for a site that is logically organised to enable a range of screen readers, browsers and devices to easily access the content.

Links are written to make sense out of context. If a link is to an external site (for example Twitter or Facebook) then this will usually open a new window. In this case the TITLE attribute has ‘new window’ text to highlight this.

All images have ALT text descriptions.

Navigation is consistent throughout the website and a link to skip direct to content is provided at the start of every page to avoid having to repeatedly read the header and main navigation links.

Page titles, visible in the title bar of the browser, are provided for every page as another an important navigation aid.

We have not used access keys following the RNIB recommendations that this can potentially conflict with access technologies.
